Community Engagement
MUFG aims to create opportunity and prosperity in the communities in which we live and work through philanthropic investments, volunteering, and charitable donations.
We support community outreach efforts by providing paid time off to volunteer, sponsoring volunteer opportunities, and by matching qualified donations to eligible organizations to support the causes that they care about.
Corporate Challenge
Colleagues in Dallas-Fort Worth, Chicago and New York laced up their running shoes and participated in the annual Corporate Challenge, the world’s largest corporate running event. A portion of the race proceeds were donated to local organizations in these cities, including the Central Park Conservancy, whose mission is to restore, manage and enhance Central Park.
Disaster Relief
MUFG has been actively involved in supporting communities affected by natural disasters. In Florida, we assisted two local elementary schools that were severely damaged by the 2024 storms. The grant enabled the schools to purchase essential items like furniture, rugs, and classroom supplies, ensuring a safe and engaging learning environment for returning students and teachers.
9/11 Day of Service
Nearly 400 colleagues, including several senior leaders, in nine of our U.S. locations participated in the 9/11 Day of Service by packing meals for local homeless shelters, food pantries, food banks, and food distribution centers.
